Taking place 22 November 1946, this festival featured the premiere of 'The Morning Watch' by Rubbra, along with 'Fanfare for Heroes' and 'Enigma Variations'.

Since 1946, the Festival of St Cecilia has been the flagship event in Help Musicians’ calendar. The celebration of music is a tribute to the Patroness of Musicians, Saint Cecilia.
